Title: RADIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGIST with CT NIGHT SHIFT
Location: near Oxford, North Caroliona
Are you considering a career change? If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in Central North Carolina is looking for someone to join their team. The system is a for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center. It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services. SUMMARY:
Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures on all types of patients in an efficient and caring manner in order to provide data for the diagnosis of a wide variety of medical conditions. Evaluates exams for diagnostic quality while using professional judgment in the performance of services. Night Shift position working 9pm to 7am Monday thru Thursday or 7pm to 7am Friday thru Sunday.
SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Current or very recent Interventional/Surgical experience preferred, along with knowledge of Siemens, OEC equipment & Medtronic O-arm
-Operates all imaging equipment (radiographic, fluoroscopic, mobile and digital acquisition) to complete a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
-Produces acceptable images by determining proper technical factors based on individual patients and/or procedures.
-Orders, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to accepted practices.
-Follows all radiation protection and radiation safety policies.
-Effectively uses computer systems (such as HIS, RIS, PACS) to process, access and distribute appropriate department and patient procedure information.
-Assists in transportation of patients to and from the department.
-Participates in providing education and information to patients and their families.
-Participates in clinical training of radiology students by providing instruction, supervision and evaluation as required.
-Participates in quality assurance/quality control activities as required.
-Performs other functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (or equivalent) in the appropriate specialty (radiography) and licensed by the State of North Carolina in Radiology.
- Competence in all diagnostic radiographic procedures performed at this facility.
- Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
- Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of computer software related to electronic imaging and clinical information management.
- Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
The range is between $26.50hr-$36.00 with $3.00 shift differential and $3,00 weekend shift diff, plus a full benefit package.
$10,000.00 Sign-on Bonus, plus $5,000 relocation assistance
