Position Overview: The Breast Imaging Navigator performs a variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Breast Imaging Navigator is responsible for a broad range of health care services such as: patient scheduling, exam case review, patient education, and biopsy follow through. The Breast Imaging Navigator is highly specialized in the Women’s Imaging modality of Radiology, has training specifically in the scheduling of Women’s Imaging exams and biopsy procedures. They have been trained by licensed Mammography and Sonography professionals in the interpretation of Radiology reports to ensure the patient is receiving the proper exam follow up recommended by the Radiologist. The Navigator has the ability to utilize a variety of different computer software and phone systems to fulfill these daily responsibilities.

Location: 100 South Bedord Road, Mount Kisco, NY 10549
Primary Responsibilities:
- Run daily BiRads report on RIS to assess patients in need of follow up care
- Investigate patient mammography and sonography reports in RIS to assess required follow up imaging requirements
- Utilize the RIS Mammography Tracking Worklist to document follow up imaging requirements and track patient call history
- Contact patients and schedule to follow up appointments within the appropriate modality utilizing the RIS and telephone systems
- Assist patients in scheduling biopsy appointments in the appropriate modality
- Ability to interpret the QGenda Radiologist schedule for the appropriate patient follow up appointment or biopsy scheduling
- Maintenance of the follow up appointment logs within the Mammography Tracking Worklist to ensure all patients are contacted to make their follow up appointments
- Maintain patient satisfaction and excellent customer service while interacting with the patients
- Attend to the Mammography Navigator phone line to ensure all phone calls are answered in a timely manner
- Maintain the Mammography Navigator email to ensure all requests are attended to in a timely manner
- Perform other various related duties as necessary to assist in patient care

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- 2+ years of Radiology experience
- 2+ years of scheduling experience
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in EHRs, EMRs, and RIS systems
Soft Skills:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Extremely organized
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization
New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $16.00 to $27.31 per hour.
