About The Position
Job Title: Travel Radiation Therapist Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Travel Radiation Therapist to join our team, providing exceptional patient care across various healthcare facilities. In this role, you will travel to hospitals, cancer treatment centers, and outpatient facilities to administer radiation therapy to patients undergoing treatment for cancer and other medical conditions. You will work closely with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and safety. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accurate dosimetry and positioning. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and other related devices. Collaborate with radiation oncologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses and medical histories. Conduct pre-treatment patient assessments, including verifying treatment plans and discussing potential side effects and care instructions. Monitor patients throughout the treatment process, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment details and progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure. Travel to various healthcare facilities, adapting to different equipment and workflows as needed. Requirements: Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy. Active state licensure to practice as a Radiation Therapist. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in radiation therapy techniques and protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Flexibility to travel between different healthcare settings.
