Position Overview:

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care by delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the treatment and management of cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform daily quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Prepare patients for treatment, including explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients correctly and accurately for treatment.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Certification/Licensure:
  • ARRT-T (Registered Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapist): Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to work at both locations: Waxahachie, TX and Duncanville, TX, based on the greatest need.
  • BLS certification required (should not initiate patient contact until completed).

Skills and Certifications:

• ARRT-T Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) (required)
• BLS (required)
