Radiology: CT
- General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS
- "Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements
- (See General Radiology Cert Overview Below)" ARRT California, FLUORO license
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 3 scanners
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Xray and CT,
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties head, abdomen pelvis, will not
assist with procedures
- Experience or 'Must have' skills Client scanner experience preferred
- Average # of scans/studies per day
- What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they
use? Centricity for tracking
- Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Client
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech? lead tech 24/7
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no
- Radiologist in-house 24/7? In house during the day until 6 pm, at night they are sent off to
external radiology?
- Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) no
- "Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
- *Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?*" Manager does schedule. -
Shifts are 8 hours- starting at 8, 330, 11. Two people at all times
- Weekend Requirements Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements Flexibility in working
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time? none
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Ceil blue scrubs. Not provided but Hospital has
some available.
- Department specific orientation Tour of unit and then one week of training.
- Additional Notes Must be flexible and adaptable. They would like someone that is open and
willing to work with department needs.
