Support the patent process with a core set of administrative tasks and responsibilities
Provide administrative and client support for multiple patent Attorneys/Agents/Paralegals
Manage patent dockets, correspondence and filings
Process and coordinate inbound and outbound file transfers
Prepare Information Disclosure Statements for multiple cases
Proofing U.S. issued patents for corrections
Monitoring international annuities and maintenance fees for patents
- Prepare inactivation checklists and assist with transfer letters to foreign counsel. Perform other administrative duties in support of a well-defined, and highly efficient, legal workflow in our Silicon Valley and other West Coast technology law focused offices
Open new matters in docketing and financial systems
Reporting to the Senior Patent Practice Support Manager, the ideal candidate must be organized, efficient and have a good aptitude for learning standard tasks within a law firm environment. Current knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rules/procedures and operations background and/or project management experience is helpful, but not required. Patent prosecution or life sciences experience a plus. Bachelor's degree required.
