Hiring Supply Base Management Specialist in:
• (1) Washington State
• (1) Philadelphia/St Louis
• (2) Southern California (El Segundo/Long Beach)
Learn and practice applicable ***** policies and procedures
Leads efforts to establish executable plans, ensure performance to plan, mitigate risk and resolve supply chain issues (technical or non-technical) associated with work movement, partnering with key suppliers and Supply Chain partners to drive quality and on-time parts delivery.
Engages suppliers and provides technical assistance in areas such as manufacturing, planning, and requirements interpretation to ensure delivery schedule compliance and product conformity. Monitors metrics and manages work movements through a gated process and ensures process compliance.
Communicates with internal customers and stakeholders i.e. procurement agents, suppliers, field quality, field operations, engineering and manufacturing to report work movement status, risks and help needed.
Contribute positively on-site supplier assessments to validate transition and delivery plans, identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement, and support ***** procurement strategy associated with the work movement.
Assists suppliers in developing plans and monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements related to the work movements.
Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes (e.g., lean manufacturing, shop floor control, work prioritization, production and inventory control system) to enhance supplier ability to produce and deliver products and services.
Describe the project they will be working on:
• Execute work movements, Scope, Schedule & Risk, Issues and Opportunities management, regular monitoring, control and lessons learned and hand off to operations and close-out
• Overall improvement of supplier's readiness and Operations health; Develop score card, monitor and improve performance
Main job responsibilities:
• Learn and practice applicable Boeing policies and procedures

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• More than 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors or managing a factory to deliver products and services
• More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action
• More than 3 years of experience in a role that required Scheduling, Project / Factory Management skills
• More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
• This position should have ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (if needed), for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
• Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred
• Software skills required: General Microsoft office
• Any certifications required: Project Management preferred
Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including processors, philanthropic, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity. Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance. Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns. Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance. Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement
strategy. Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent. Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent. Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent. Supports work movement as requested by supervision.
Ability to pass Background and Drug Screen if Required by Client.
Education/Experience:
Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
