- Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
- Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- May supervise computer programmers.
- This is an entry level position. This manger works on the Linux operating system platform.
- Must have familiarity with the Linux platform and have entry level coding knowledge (this experience can be in college projects or extracurricular activities – does not have to be at work)
- This is an onsite-only position. Not remote. Not hybrid.
- Experience with impact assessment of software patches and upgrades.
- Experience in Linux shell scripts, Perl and/or python.
- Working knowledge of Linux development environment tools.
- Required Bachelor's degree and/or related experience
- Ability to execute some Linux commands required – prefer someone who can compile a kernel in Linux
- C, C++, shell scripting, Perl, or python (must have ‘some’ familiarity coding one of these types of languages)
