Responsibilities

We are searching for highly motivated, technically competent, and mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing R&D Product Testing team. In this position you will play a key role in building components and assemblies that make up our unique generators; primarily focused on the build of their enclosure and external components. You will work within our R&D facility in Menlo Park, collaborating with our highly talented team of technicians and engineers to bring affordable, dispatchable and clean energy to the world.

• Build components and assemblies that make up our generator enclosures, install components and modify parts as needed for new prototype builds and to support production builds.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies focusing on manufacturability and reliability in order to meet the testing and qualification schedule of new designs.
• Work with a quick-learning build and test team to support ongoing testing and retrofits
• Identify opportunities to improve safety and productivity in the build process

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair, including experience with metal fabrication; cutting, grinding, and drilling required. Welding experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability and certification to use a forklift
• Ability to learn quickly, be self-motivated and safety oriented
• Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE

The Bay Area hourly wage for this role is $35.50-$42 + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
