Position Summary:As the R&D Manager on the Energizer R&D Facility Services Team, you will lead a team culture of continuous improvement collaborating with cross functional partners including marketing, procurement, legal, operations, and quality assurance with a proven track record in leading technical resources to develop and implement programs and improvement projects.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of professionals, engineers, and technicians to develop, refine, and implement innovative programs to support R&D Safety, equipment and process Engineering and Facility Management while driving projects that meet time, cost, and performance objectives
- Set the strategic plan for R&D Facility Services including developing a maintaining robust Safety, Engineering and Facility Management programs and cycle plan of projects
- Develop and maintain a 3 year Capital improvement and maintenance plan with annual Budget
- Manage Fixed Assets Administration, monitor CIP to Clear to Property, Retirements and annual Property Inventory
- Provide project and team leadership, from conception to launch, and communicate updates cross-functionally and to senior leadership
- Support R&D Battery and Auto Care strategy and projects
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Interact with and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, operations, legal, and external third parties as needed to reach objectives
- Refine internal processes and ways of working to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage performance, empower others, and develop talent
- Mentor team members and possible successors
- 5+ years of technical managerial experience in an R&D or supporting a manufacturing facility
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or other scientific degree
- Experience supervising 4 or more direct reports
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stage Gate Protocol and Project Management
- Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data
- Must possess ability to comprehend business objectives and work independently to solve problems in the most efficient manner possible
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Travel, up to 5%
- Participate in occasional teleconference meetings with global colleagues in different time zones
- PPE is required during laboratory work and in manufacturing locations

Total Rewards Package:The salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00/Yr. - USD $172,000.00/Yr.Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
