As the R&D Manager, you will be directly involved in the creation and innovation of gummies infused with vitamins, hemp, and THC. Responsibilities:
- Lead the R&D department in the design, development, and improvement of pectin-based gummy products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products, meeting all quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities based on market trends, consumer insights, and technological advancements.
- Oversee the testing and validation of new product concepts, ensuring they meet all regulatory, safety, and company standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners including ingredient suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transition from product development to commercial production.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing products, recommending modifications as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes that could impact product development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D within the confectionery or nutraceutical industry, with a focus on pectin-based gummy product development.
- Proven experience in developing and launching new products, from concept to commercialization.
- In-depth knowledge of food production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of food products.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment for food products, including those infused with vitamins, hemp, and THC.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Passion for innovation and a drive to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
