R&D IT PROJECT MANAGER Strategy, Portfolio Operations and Quality supporting R&D Clinical Sciences
The R&D IT Project Manager will oversee SPOQ projects supporting Planisware, eTMF (GxP) and Snowflake - SPOQ Data Platform system enhancements. The Project Manager has responsibility for the health and success of projects within a matrixed organization with direct relationships with various groups in the business as well as IT. This role requires the ability to:
Monitor, manage, and ensure predictable delivery of projects in a deadline-driven environment. Time, $, resources.
Drive delivery and accountability of internal staff, vendors, contracted resources, and third-party project managers. Own the quality of the project delivered.
Anticipate and escalate risks and issues that require assistance, attention, or executive resolution.
Prioritize tasks for self and others. Articulate critical paths for each project.
Effectively communicate project status to leadership, verbally or in written form.
The R&D IT Project Manager will monitor activities of Biogen resources and external vendors. The R&D IT Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that the projects are delivered according to committed scope, approved budget, and target dates. The R&D IT Project Manager will ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes per agreed cadence and methodology.
Experience:
10+ years project management experience, including budget accountability
8+ years experience as an IT professional
Comfortable with both waterfall and SAFe methodologies, and familiarity with tools including MS Project and JIRA
Experience with managing execution of projects per specific objectives business process improvement, change management, Proof-of-Concepts, system enhancements, etc.
Experience with managing GxP-regulated system projects, including requirements gathering, planning, integration, data migration and execution within a highly structured framework and SDLC.
Experience in leading daily stand-ups and cross-functional meetings for nimble, fast-moving teams. Knows when/how to escalate.
Proven ability to motivate colleagues and manage stakeholder priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; recognized as a blocker remover and decision-driver
Excellent communication skills organizes and presents project information to stakeholders
Understands data relationships and integrations; able to work with internal teams to deliver technical solutions
Capable of working well under pressure; highly-organized with ability to focus on priorities
Capable of multi-tasking across projects and working independently
Experience working with third party vendors and coordinating deliveries.
Background in data analytics and automation for Clinical Studies and R&D Quality is a plus

Education:
BA or BS in Computer Science or Clinical Study Management-related field required
Graduate degree in a relevant field preferred
PMP certification or equivalent credentials preferred
