R&D Chemist - Engineering Resource Group

Description

• Permanent position for an R&D Chemist to conduct laboratory testing and applications testing on food additives.
• Provide detailed observations of lab tests and to accurately record the data and in a laboratory notebook and in spreadsheets.
• Communicate results, observations, and work progress to supervisor.
• Work with low to moderately hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety procedures and practices.
• Manage laboratory workflow for multiple, concurrent applications projects.
• Interact with customers by effectively communicating project updates and presenting project results.
• Give technical presentations, visit customer sites, and attend trade shows.
• Work with supervisor, commercial leaders, and sales to understand market needs and develop new products.

Requirements

• BS Chemistry and at least 5 years of experience as an R&D chemist.
• Experience working in food science is ideal.
• Strong data observation and interpretation skills.
• Strong time management, and computer and math skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy to compare data and detect inconsistencies.
