The world's leading aerospace company, is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join the Law Department. Under the guidance of ***** counsel, this position will support the Litigation & Labor and Employment Practice Groups across Law and Global Compliance. Duties include performing legal research, collecting and analyzing data, drafting legal documents, actively supporting outside counsel with litigation, coordinating and conducting witness interviews, and coordinating, expediting, and processing communications, correspondence, and documentation with outside counsel, ***** attorneys, and other ***** personnel both inside and outside the Law Department. Tasks and activities include:
• Performing factual and legal research, utilizing specialized software (e.g. LexisNexis, WestLaw, CourtLink), the World Wide Web, the Boeing intranet, and Boeing Human Resources and Law Department internal database software tools to locate, compile, and analyze information;
• Identifying issues in the course of research and recommending possible solutions and/or courses of action to the ***** attorneys;
• Drafting, reviewing, and revising employment-related agreements and documents;
• Serving as liaison between ***** attorneys and outside counsel in litigation matters, including drafting correspondence, identifying, gathering, and analyzing information and documents for discovery responses, depositions and motions, identifying and locating potential company witnesses, compiling discovery and witness lists, calendaring and ensuring compliance with internal and external deadlines, and reviewing and drafting discovery responses and declarations;
• Conducting witness interviews, both pre-litigation and during litigation, regarding case information, case documents, and preparation of witness memoranda;
• Performing document management and analysis in support of merger and acquisition transactions;
• Managing workers' compensation discrimination claims by serving as liaison between ***** attorneys, outside counsel and internal workers' compensation administrators;
• Supporting international employment law issues for Global Law Affairs Group;
• Working with customers across all business units and functions to gather files;
• Assisting with trial and arbitration preparation;
• Creating, maintaining, and updating litigation information on Law Department databases and spreadsheets;
• Creating PowerPoint training materials;
• Working with outside counsel to obtain quarterly budget updates, helping ***** attorneys prepare annual budget projections, and monitoring compliance with budgets;
• Responding to third-party subpoenas.
• Locating information and data custodians.
• Scheduling, participating and supporting the work of the attorneys in connection with internal and external investigations.
• Preparing interview memoranda.
• Collecting, reviewing or processing data/documents for discovery or investigations.
• Communicating with internal clients and outside counsel.
• General matter management, including issuing and maintaining document preservation notices.
• Preparing monthly litigation case status reports.
• Assisting with bankruptcy matters.
• Participating on and leading paralegal teams in the department to identify and implement process improvements.
Must be able to work independently, but under the general direction of ***** attorneys. Must handle confidential personnel data with maturity and integrity. Must have strong organization, computing, and oral and written communication skills.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas are preferred: Substantial experience in litigation, including electronic discovery, and database tools. Experience in labor and employment law desired. Must be able to support both large employment litigation matters, such as class actions, as well as single plaintiff employment lawsuits, arbitrations, and administrative claims. Must be able to schedule and plan assigned work and assigned functions, and interface appropriately with business customers and outside counsel. Must have a cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products. Must be action and detail oriented, able to deal with others in a fair, honest, cordial, and professional manner. Must honor commitments and be trustworthy. Must be able to participate effectively in accomplishing team goals and interact with other groups. Must be able to establish and maintain long-term relationships. Must be diplomatic, considerate and respectful of other's needs and perspectives. Must be willing to go above and beyond to accomplish projects timely and accurately. Must drive own personal vehicle to different locations to collect/drop off documents, conduct witnesses' interviews, etc. (Reimbursement for mileage will be provided per Boeing policy.) Some domestic travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer five (5) or more years' experience in a law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting. A Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor's degree is desired.

Education/experience:
Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
