Job Title: Quantitative Developer
Job Description: We are seeking a talented Quantitative Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of quantitative trading strategies and financial models. The Quantitative Developer will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and researchers to design, test, and optimize algorithmic trading systems and quantitative models. This role requires strong programming skills, a solid understanding of financial markets, and proficiency in quantitative analysis techniques.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and researchers to develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies and quantitative models.
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems and infrastructure for quantitative research, backtesting, and trading.
- Implement mathematical models and statistical techniques for analyzing market data, pricing securities, and managing risk.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of trading algorithms and models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
- Optimize performance of trading systems and algorithms by refining code, enhancing algorithms, and improving execution strategies.
- Monitor and analyze market data, trading signals, and algorithm performance to identify opportunities for improvement and adaptation.
- Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of quantitative models and trading systems with existing technology platforms.
- Stay informed about advancements in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading strategies, and industry best practices.
- Document code, algorithms, and processes to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or PhD preferred).
- Proven experience as a Quantitative Developer, Quantitative Analyst, or similar role in financial services or trading.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java, with experience in quantitative libraries and frameworks (e.g., NumPy, pandas, SciPy).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and quantitative modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with algorithmic trading platforms, order management systems, and market data feeds.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), databases, and cloud computing platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to handle complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
