Immediate long term contract opportunity for Quantitative Analyst with direct client in Westchester County, NY.
Our client - a major utility firm based out of Westchester County, NY - has an immediate need for a Quantitative Analyst. The particulars of the position are as follows.
Overview:
• You will provide valuable analysis and insights to drive effective risk management practices
• Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Conduct risk assessments, monitors emerging risks, and assists in the preparation of risk reports for key stakeholders
• Support in facilitation of effective risk management, controls design, and assurance activities aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and relevant frameworks
• Understand relevant policy documents and how they align to risk and control activities
• Build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and business unit leaders
• Prioritize training and learning on risk management techniques, internal controls design, and GRC Archer
• Assist Project / Program Lead and other team members in executing strategy
• Assist Project / Program Lead and other team members in preparing relevant risk reporting materials
• Complete other assurance or administrative tasks as needed
• Provide best practice advice to business stakeholders on risk management, risk mitigation, and controls aligned with the company’s risk management framework
• Facilitate cross-functional risk assessments to support development of risk registers, risk profile summaries
• Support the development of risk management training programs for employees
• Support preparation of comprehensive, well-written, concise, illustrative reports and executive dashboards to capture conclusions and key findings resulting from risk assessments, analysis, and recommendations
Required:
• Experience in model validations or benchmarking 5-7 years in a risk or compliance role, or front office running and testing models (risk management, insurance underwriting, gas operations, other finance functions)
• Quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate potential risks
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
