The Quality Technician is a professional involved in every aspect of quality techniques, from sampling, testing, recording, and reporting data to maintaining equipment. They’re responsible for various tasks that follow strict guidelines and regulations, including protecting the accuracy and efficiency of experiments while keeping labs organized.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and ensuring GLPs.
- Microbial testing (Petrifilm and pour plates)
- Water sampling and testing.
- Environmental sampling and testing.
- Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples using the correct testing equipment when necessary.
- Designing and executing laboratory testing per standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
- Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory.
- Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Providing technical support when necessary.
- Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
- Any other duties/tasks assigned by Management.
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a GMP manufacturing industry
- BS in a scientific field is a plus but not required
- Working knowledge of 21 CFR 111
- Working knowledge of cGMP & GLP
- Excellent written, problem-solving, time-management, and verbal communication
- Experience with 3M Petrifilm plates and conventional agar plates
- Proven track record of over-achieving goals or going above and beyond
- Possess a willingness to learn
- Working experience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Keen attention to detail.
