About the Job
- Important technical quality resource in fast growing group specializing in profile extrusions and extruded films.
- Program and ensure calibration of in-line machine vision and optical testing equipment.
- Create and modify final part drawings for production using Solidworks.
- QA Verifying product against mechanical drawings and specifications using Keyence machine vision based optical comparator.
- Perform visual quality, dimensional (micrometer, calipers) and optical performance testing.
- Maintain quality documentation, retains and test records.
- Communicate with customers as needed regarding part dimensions, tolerances and potential failure modes.
- Create CoCs and CoAs for production orders as needed.
- Conduct internal audits on key quality performance metrics.
- Support SPC activities on the production floor.
- Perform incoming inspection on raw materials
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts/projects as part of team.
- Support progression of company towards ISO certification.
- Min. 3 years relevant quality experience.
- BS in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Solidworks.
- Comfortable working with machine vision based quality test equipment.
- Manufacturing experience demonstrating ability to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined.
- Prior experience in optical products a plus.
- Practical knowledge of quality systems including SPC, control limits and in-line manufacturing process control.
- Working knowledge Microsoft PC (word, excel) software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with others.
