We're seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician - Lead to join our team and ensure the continued excellence of our manufacturing processes.
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician - Lead will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections at various stages of production to ensure all products meet defined quality standards. This position also includes CMM programming, operating advanced metrology equipment, and maintaining AS9100 compliance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to develop inspection plans and improve overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, review, and update CMM programs using Metrolog X4, ArcoCad, MODUS, and other applicable software.
- Conduct in-process and final product inspections, verifying conformance to blueprints and work instructions.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop and implement inspection plans for new projects.
- Manage calibration of inspection equipment and maintain records using Unipoint software.
- Support AS9100 compliance by maintaining required documentation and participating in internal audits.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to address quality issues and optimize inspection processes.
- Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on quality tasks.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in CMM programming and operation, with proficiency in Metrolog X4, ArcoCad, or MODUS.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements and Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with Unipoint software for calibration management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis and non-conformance resolution (NCR, CA, PA).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Education:
- Associate's degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment with exposure to metalworking machinery, noise, dust, and oils.
