Acceptance testing of compounds, materials, and in process testing of rubber compounds in accordance with the working standards and quality guidelines.
Raw Material Testing: This is the day to day testing of direct and indirect, reinforcing and non-reinforcing raw material requirements for Quality documentation, sampling and testing before the material can be used.
Rubber Compound Testing: This is the day to day pre-release testing done on mixed compounds to confirm the physical properties of the compound.
In Process Testing of Rubber Compound: Any test that requires meeting of a specification before the tested material can be used. This is the day to day pre-release Position Summary:
Testing done on mixed compounds and calendar material to confirm the physical properties of the compounds and calendar materials within tolerance.
Monitor Testing: Any test that is used to monitor key physical properties of a compound. These tests are done on a periodic basis to provide "snapshots" fo compound physical properties that are used for trend plotting and also for bench marking.
In Process Monitoring Test: Any test that is used to monitor key physical properties of a compound. These tests are done on a periodic basis to provide "snapshots" of compound physical properties that are used for trend plotting and also for benchmarking. Modulus, Tensile, and Elongation: All final mixed compounds per Corporate Standard Practice BL-006 Carbon Black Dispersion: All final mixed compounds per Corporate Standard Practice BL-006 Rheometer (MDR) (380F &320F): All final & incoming mixed compounds per Corporate Standard Practice BL-006 Viscoelasticity: Designated on ATC Formula. Per Corporate Standard Practice BL-006 Blow point: Belt skim, Wedge, BEI, Subtread, Undertread, Body Skim, Bead Filler, Sidewall Rayon Moisture Test: Run Flat Compounds Porosity on Tread: Tread Compounds. Scorch and ML4 Test: All final mixed compounds per Corporate Standard Practice BL-006. Certification of Cement Testing: As required by BR-003. Green Adhesion Testing: As required by PE Tack Testing: As required by PE
Other Testing: Other testing as directed through the quality programs and guidelines may include: Stain, Ash, Specific Gravity & SMO Testing 4 Roll Testing Rework Stock, bead lubes as needed
Miscellaneous Activities: Provide vacation/absentee coverage as needed. Complete daily work activity logs. Assist as needed for resolution of non-conforming tests. Enter end-of-shift data into a summary spreadsheet. BB & WM sample pickups. 5S activities in the Lab. Assist with miscellaneous activities as required by supervision.
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS (PERSONAL TOOLS REQUIRED, IF ANY): Safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs (PPE). Stain Cabinet, Brabender Elatest, D2020 Rheometer MDR 2000, Ash Furnace, Instron, Mooney Viscosity Curing press, Lab Mill, Lab Punch Press, Brookfield Viscosity Machine, Soft Point Machine, Satorious moisture Machine, Analytical Balance. Computers, various computer programs, spreadsheets, and barcode scan guns. Motorized cart, 3-wheeled tricycle, knife, and scissors.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Must follow existing safety rules. Use proper lifting and cutting techniques. Comply with all safety policies. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required. Certification using Lab Mill. MEO license
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Standing, walking, 50lbs lifting molds & rubber samples bags, occasionally climbing stairs. Operate Lab Mill.

• Candidates need experience (if so, how many years of experience) or is the manager willing to train?: Willing to train. Preferred experience in a manufacturing/ industrial/ warehouse environment, but not required.
• Level of Education Needed: High School Diploma
• Training Shift and Schedule: M-F.
Training Hours will be 6pm-4am for first 2 weeks M-F
