Quality Technician
Job Summary
Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspection of purchased and fabricated parts. Have the ability to identify manufactured defects and modify minor production errors. The major focus of this position will be to investigate product defects to determine cause, generate solutions and review of production processes for improvement opportunities which result in quality and/or productivity improvement

Examples of Essential Functions:
- Perform testing on all products prior to shipping
- Participate in the inspection of all components and materials received from outside vendors and inside Staco Systems fabricators
- Assist in the corrective action process associated with MRB or audit programs related to final inspection of our product
- Assist Quality Manager in evaluating product RMAs
- Perform production line audits as requested by customer purchase specifications
- Act as a liaison for the company to ensure all equipment is properly checked out for calibration testing
- Participate in the first article inspection on all components received, when required
- Perform document control duties, as needed
- Ability to use all mechanical measuring tools (i.e., comparators, micrometers, calipers, hardness testing, etc.)
- General knowledge of electronics (Ohms Law, Read Schematics, DPDT Switching)
- Ability to use electronic test equipment (DVM, Dielectric Tester, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Soldering)
- Ability to assemble electronic test jigs.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications Guidelines
Education/training/experience:
- Must have experience working with electro-mechanical products
- Previous experience testing electrical products required
- Experience with interpreting Engineering drawing requirements
- Experienced computer knowledge is a must; as well as experience with Microsoft Office
- 2 year technical degree preferred
Knowledge of:
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100, QS9000 or TS-16949
- Knowledge of MIL-PRF-22885 and QPL testing a plus.
Physical Standards:
- Ability to move throughout plant as required
- Ability to sit and operate a computer workstation and microscope
- Good eyesight and finger dexterity
- Works well with all levels of employees
