Description: Responsible for identifying faulty gages or equipment and suggesting upgrades when necessary. To be successful as a calibration technician, you should have a good eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and above-average troubleshooting skills. Work quickly and methodically to ensure equipment is safe for operation and calibrated to the industry standards.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Perform inspection and calibrate all in-house gauges and tools used for product acceptance.Maintain documentation and evidence of calibration on all tools and gauges.Assist manufacturing and inspection with the recall of gauges.Coordinate with purchasing on gauges which requires outside calibration.Schedule outside suppliers for calibration of in-house tools, gauges, and equipment.Review calibration results for tightening or reducing of calibration frequency.Responsible for traceability and control of master gauges to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).Responsible for managing customer owned gauges, who they are assigned to, and recall when calibration is due.Keep work area clean, safe and in orderly fashion on daily basis.Comply with all safety procedures, practices, and policies.Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Benefits/Salary:The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation.
