We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Quality Technician I for our dynamic Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality in engineering processes and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols that will ensure production is efficient and meets all company and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Quality Technician I, your core duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Implementing and monitoring quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.
2. Supervising and instructing the quality assurance team, ensuring they are trained and committed to their roles.
3. Carrying out regular inspections and tests, identifying and correcting any issues that could affect the quality of the product.
4. Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and FAA regulations and maintaining accurate quality assurance records.
5. Developing and implementing corrective actions, preventive actions (CAPA) and ensuring that these are effective.
6. Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the entire production process.
7. Overseeing sanitation practices and ensuring they are in line with regulatory standards.
8. Conducting extrusion process audits and providing recommendations for improvements.
9. Preparing quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
10. Participating in internal and external quality audits.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Quality Technician I, you should have:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role in the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience with extrusion processes, AS9100, Corrective Actions, FAA regulations, sanitation practices, and CAPA.
4. Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a range of audiences.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
8. Proficiency in using quality assurance software and other related tools.
9. Excellent attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
10. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
