About the Job
What you will do
Conduct day to day product quality audits to certify meeting specifications, providing feedback to supervisors, managers and staff for immediate resolution. Conduct holds, walk back and verification of suspect material.
Escalation of quality issues to supervisors, managers, and staff. Conduct dimensional measurements using CMM and other testing equipment for new product or new tooling PPAP. Perform instrument calibrations. Challenge testing equipment for functional verification. Conduct additional audits for verification of systemic process confirmation by operators. Conduct direct material incoming inspections and testing. Audit current processes to ensure the short-term and long-term quality standards business objectives are met. Provide orientation training to new employees. Elaborate quality reports per shift.
How you will do it
Provide quality support to necessary manufacturing operations and new product launches.
Support ISO/TS16949 internal and external Audits.
Support quality improvement efforts in designated areas with an ultimate goal of improving "zero defects" performance.
Work with Quality team to implement related root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Track and measure critical processes within the plant.
Calibrate and certify products and accessories to meet tolerances and product specifications. Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
Assist in the investigation and disposition of Non-conforming material.
Assist in gathering data, compiling information and assisting management in development of metrics and reports. Perform audit in assigned manufacturing areas as needed and directed by supervisor.
What we look for
Required
2 years of experience in working in a quality position within a manufacturing environment in mechanical or automotive field.
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred
Previous Automotive or Tier 1 experience.
Experience in ISO/TS16949 standards and facilitating continuous improvement using formal quality methodology and tools.
Experience with and proficiency in completing Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) format PPAP documentation.
ASQ Certification.
