GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS
+ Appreciation for cleanliness and sanitation, keeping work area clean and organized.
+ Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
+ Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
+ Follow & monitor to assure all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines are implemented & followed.
+ Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear appropriate apparel for the job.
+ Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.
NOTE: Required to report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action as indicated on the organizational chart.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
+ Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
+ Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs, not your back.
+ Pivot with your feed avoiding twisting at the waist.
+ Be aware of your surroundings, watch for forklift traffic & trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
+ Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
+ Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on catwalks.
+ Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Perform various quality assurance tasks.
+ Daily walkthrough the lines to ensure compliance with GMPs and Quality Policies.
Maintain Finished Product COA Program:
+ Enter finished product testing results (sauce, functional & conversion) into X3 from PowerBI Reports to create customer COAs including analytical and micros daily.
+ Daily product releases from hold in X3 in accordance with the Positive Release Program
+ Prepare Preliminary COAs and save on SharePoint
+ Different Quality Tech signs the Preliminary COAs
+ Sign Final Finished Product COAs once validation is completed by the Customer Service Team
+ Maintain Customer COA requirements through Tech Data sheets in X3
+ Assist with the completion of the New Item Set-up form through reminder emails to those with open tasks
+ Assist with the Finished Product Shelf-Life Extensions process:
+ Complete the Extension Statement after receiving information from the Quality Team
+ Send final Extension Statement to the customer
+ Review temperature recording charts for refrigerated areas in the facility (Madgetech)
+ Assist with the CAPA Log
+ Add findings and corrective actions to the log this includes information from weekly GMPs, Monthly Facility Audits, and Pest Control Inspections.
+ Print the most current CAPA log for the Facilities Maintenance Technician weekly
+ Verify items have been completed
+ Assist with the maintenance of the Register of Documents
+ Complete requested On-site USDA Inspector Document Requests
+ Complete customer documentation requests.
+ Send the first notification email for the GMP Audit Schedule weekly (Mondays)
+ Send the first notification email for the Facility Audit Schedule (first week of month)
+ Send out reminder emails to ensure on-time completion for both GMP and Facility audits
+ Findings are pulled from RedZone and posted to the Media Panel upon completion
+ Beginning of each month, gather and enter the information for the Moe’s Report and send out to LOL
+ Review 3rd Party Lab Testing Request Form for product micro samples daily
+ Conduct environmental swabbing for as listed in the Environmental Monitoring Program.
Weekly:
+ Listeria – Thursdays
+ APC – Tuesdays
+ Coliform – Wednesdays
Monthly:
+ Swab drains for Salmonella
+ Conduct yeast and mold air plate testing
+ Prepare and review the 3rd Party Lab Testing Request Form for environmental swabs
+ Review and enter results into RedZone
+ Relay any corrective action requests to the Quality and Sanitation Teams
R&D Responsibilities include:
+ Sample Cooks
+ Sample preparation (mixing sample ingredients).
+ Cook R&D samples.
+ Keep sample stock organized and inventoried.
+ Sample Shipments
+ Package samples to be sent to customers.
+ Create/Complete packing lists to be sent with samples
MRE Responsibilities
+ Perform Seal Tests per run
+ Preform Sensory Tests per run
+ Perform Empty and Full MRE Pouch Weights per run
+ Perform the Official USDA Seal Test per run
Perform Annual Audits
+ Pest Prevention
+ Glass & Brittle Plastic
+ Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by Vice President of Research and Development, Senior Quality Manager or Quality Compliance Specialist/SQF Practitioner.
