As a Quality Technician you will:
- Inspect handling parts and complex assemblies using drawings and specifications to validate conformance to established guidelines, standards and customer requirements.
- Investigate quality issues and assist in researching and disposition of product.
- Compile clear and concise quality notifications.
- Communicate results for requesting effective corrective action to bring resolution to attain high quality of end product economically and efficiently.
- Assist with customer returns in finding root cause and help determining corrective action.
- Recommend improvements to processes/procedures to enhance efficiency of workflow and quality of output.
- Execute multiple transactions within the SAP Enterprise System.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 2+ years’ experience within the Quality department in machine shop environment.
- Ability to read blueprint and schematic drawings, understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and proficient math skills.
- Knowledge of the metric system and experience in using measuring instruments (e.g. go/no-go gages, calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical comparator, height stand).
- Knowledge of gage lab processes and quality audit procedures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be self-directed to research, investigate, analyze and document information to resolve problems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
