JOB SUMMARY
Work cooperatively in a team environment to support development of robust manufacturing processes and quality systems to support the company's growth in the industrial and aerospace investment casting markets.
Focus on implementation and maintenance of main aspects of AS9100 Requirements (Internal Audits, Corrective Actions, etc).
Identify/define problems; perform root cause analysis, and support solution implementation to address problems that affect yield, rework, and overall quality of the product using a standardized approach (PDCA, Six Sigma, etc)
Take a leadership role in resolving cross-functional problems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Develop, maintain, and advance CPP quality systems, procedures, and practices.
- Develop and document quality work procedures and processes.
- Interact with CPP NDT level III personnel to ensure product compliance.
- Oversees conformance and quality enforcement of casting manufacturing process.
- Routinely audit production lots for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of the results.
- Manage resolution of non-conforming material/processes.
- Communicate with customers to resolve/address quality system concerns/inquires.
- Participate during customer/external audits (AS9100, NADCAP, etc) including preparation, guidance and closure.
- Drive closure of preventative/corrective actions, customer returns/inquires.
- Manage internal audit process.
- Implement customer specific QMS initiatives.
- Participate and provide guidance on APQP/PPAP.
- Manage approved supplier list in coordination with Supply Chain.
- Participate and improve initiatives with Outside Service Providers.
- Actively participates in Continuous improvement of process/product such that castings meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate with engineering team the applicable qualification documentation and data submittal packages.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure organization objectives are achieved.
- Use problem solving tools and techniques to increase profitability.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere with respect and communication in a professional manner.
- Timely corrective action within 4 (four) weeks of initiation of the corrective action request.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: BS in Engineering Discipline or 3-5 years of applicable experience.
- Experience: Quality systems, and/or formal training in Quality tools.
- Certifications/Licenses: CQA or CQ Engineer preferred, AS9100 training, SAE AS9100 Lead Auditor training preferred.
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Basic engineering skills. Knowledge and application of statistics. Knowledge of computer applications. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs. Quality system and problem solving skills. Able to interpret customer drawings, specifications, reports and basic working knowledge of GD&T. Good written communication skills. Good verbal communications with all levels of CPP management and manufacturing. Familiar with APQP/PPAP (FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP documentation).
- Working Environment: Office Environment with frequent activity in the factory.
- Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 20lbs, extended periods of time using a computer screen.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel.
- Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
- Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
- Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
