POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join our Quality Team! The Quality Specialist plays a role in supporting the development, implementation, management, and sustainment of an organization-wide system of quality improvement and patient safety oriented initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting the RHSHC Quality plan framework to evaluate the service, quality, and appropriateness of care across Regional Health Services of Howard County (RHSHC) through a comprehensive, coordinated, collaborative and interdisciplinary approach. Responsible for incident reporting follow-up and fostering a Just Culture approach. The Quality Specialist will assist the organization to analyze data, further develop the quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) program, including developing of action plans in a progressive independent manner.
* This position is Part Time, 40 hours every 2 weeks *
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Nursing required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare, preferably acute care setting.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and influence others with the credibility to lead change.
- Able to set an agenda, stay on course, and develop solutions with a high degree of independence and ambiguity.
- Proficiency in the use of computer applications and software including Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present to various levels within the organization.
