Job Summary:
The RMA & MRB Coordinator plays a critical role on our Quality team by coordinating and administering the Return Materials Authorization (RMA) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Working with internal cross-functional teams, this position ensures the timely processing and disposition of products and materials in compliance with regulatory and company standards. By addressing issues and identifying trends, the RMA & MRB Coordinator supports Quality objectives and contributes to achieving key business unit metrics.
Essential Functions:
- Under limited supervision, manage and track all RMA and Non-Conformance Material processes, escalating to other departments as needed.
- Perform hands on evaluations of incoming customer returns.
- Communicate RMA status updates on a regular cadence to Quality Engineers (QEs).
- Analyze and organize data to identify trends in rework and replacement requests.
- Monitor and expedite open RMA/MRB items, flagging issues and communicating identified deficiencies to stakeholders in a clear and succinct manner.
- Collaborate with Assembly Leads, Production Control, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of RMA's.
- Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, Materials/Purchasing teams to manage material returns to vendors and customers.
- Assist the Quality Engineering team by identifying and evaluating discrepant materials through testing, measurement, and investigations of non-conforming materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements for timely disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Generate and maintain metrics related to non-conformance activities.
- Oversee the storage and inventory integrity of RMA/MRB materials.
- Work with direct supervisor to address gaps in the RMA/MRB processes, in an effort to continuously optimize workflows.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Publish RMA/MRB weekly status reports and update system databases as required.
- Participate in or facilitate meetings and projects related to RMA/MRB processes.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- An associate degree in engineering with at least four years of professional experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry will also be considered.
- In lieu of an associate degree, a high school diploma with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience is required.
Experience:
Minimum three years in mechanical inspection of precision parts, returned materials handling or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic functions, formulas, filtering, sorting, and chart creation), Word and Outlook.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Macola experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to analyze data and identify trends.

- Mechanical precision measuring experience is a plus.
