Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.
Job Overview:
The Quality MRB Coordinator plays a critical role on our Quality team by coordinating and administering the Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Working with internal cross-functional teams, this position ensures the timely processing and disposition of products and materials in compliance with regulatory and company standards. By addressing issues and identifying trends, the Quality MRB Coordinator supports Quality objectives and contributes to achieving key business unit metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with MRB (Material review board) activities and NCs (Non conformances).
- Under limited supervision, manage and track all Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCRs), communicating and escalating to other departments as needed.
- Incorporate all work within the MRP system to drive material flow and maintain findings.
- Issue Evaluation and Rework jobs to the production floor. Ensure that all documentation is auditable and sufficient to drive corrective action activities.
- Analyze and organize data to identify trends in rework and replacement requests.
- Monitor and expedite open MRB items, flagging issues and communicating identified deficiencies to stakeholders in a clear and succinct manner.
- Collaborate with Assembly Leads, Production Control, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of MRBs.
- Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, Materials/Purchasing teams to manage material returns to vendors.
- Collaborating with the Purchasing Team to execute return to vendor (RTV) actions.
- Generate and maintain metrics related to non-conformance activities.
- Assist the Quality Engineering team by identifying and evaluating discrepant materials through testing, measurement, and investigations of non-conforming materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory for timely disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Work with the Quality Manager to address gaps in the MRB processes, in an effort to continuously optimize workflows.
- Oversee the storage and inventory integrity of MRB materials.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Publish MRB weekly status reports and update system databases as required.
- Participate in or facilitate meetings and projects related to MRB processes.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- An associate degree in engineering with at least four years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry will also be considered.
- In lieu of an associate degree, a high school diploma with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience is required.
Experience:
Minimum four years in mechanical inspection of precision parts, returned materials handling or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic functions, formulas, filtering, sorting, and chart creation), Word and Outlook.
- Proven ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal customers and cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: $28.00/per hour - $33.00/per hour
