Job Description:
To ensure and oversee that the Quality System and all its interactions are in place within all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
- Inspect and test products at various stages in the production process.
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan/procedure to bring the Quality systems and policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
- Work with purchasing department to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
- Work in the cross functional network to achieve improvement.
- Effectively communicate with other departments and cooperate to find a better solution.
- Drive improvement efforts.
- Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
- Establish testing procedures to determine a product's dimensions and its mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Perform testing on materials, parts, or finished products to measure product performance under a variety of conditions.
- Document test results and prepare the data in the form of a technical report with use of graphs or charts.
- Determine the causes of product defects that may be found and develop methods for reducing their re-occurrence.
- Supervise quality staff in carrying out tests, checks and audits
- Coach, train and develop your team to be more successful every day.
- Maintain ISO certification.
- Supports and participates in Morgan Olson PPS team efforts.
- Adheres to Quality Policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Adheres to Safety Policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7-10 years' experience in Quality Management with ISO/QS background
- Solid computer skills especially Microsoft Word and Excel
- B.S. Degree in Quality Management or related field
- Six Sigma or Lean experience
- Good organizational and communication skills
