About the Job
In this position, you will have the responsibility of:
- Coordinating quality activities with the Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent to assure effective implementation of the quality program in effect for the project(s).
- Review project documents and quality requirements and lead the project team in the creation of the quality risk assessment matrix.
- Implementing the project quality program as appropriate.
- Administering welding performance qualification testing, document tests, and coordinate with any appropriate governing bodies.
- Establishing and maintaining quality and related documentation in support of the implemented program.
- Performing inspection to assure the quality of the work is in conformance with the project quality program and contract requirements.
- Locally coordinating quality activities with the Authorized Inspection agencies, regulatory bodies and Owners.
- Communicate quality requirements to subcontractors and monitor subcontractor quality activity.
- Preparing reports, technical documents, procedures and tests as directed by the Quality Systems Manager.
In order to be successful in this position, you will need:
- A proven track record performing all responsibilities as detailed above.
- Be willing to travel or relocate to the project site for the duration of the project which is projected to be one (1) Year.
- Strong knowledge of B.31 Piping Standards
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel); strong report writing skills required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills required.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and interact with client representatives, project managers, and superintendents required.
- Ability to analyze complex problem, evaluate alternatives, and make creative recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability manage multiple, competing priorities.
