DSM Precision Manufacturing is a precision parts contract manufacture for the Defense, Aerospace, and Industrial industries. DSM has a purpose-built state of the art facility, with a variety of manufacturing departments with various machine and equipment; including but not limited to Presses, CNCs, Vertical/horizontal Machining Centers, Lathes, Grinders, Lasers, CMM inspection center and other machinery.

**Summary of Position:
**
The Quality Engineer Manager is a key member of the cross-functional team and is responsible for managing and delivering superior quality parts. The Quality Engineer will work very closely with the programmers, and operators to develop and maintain an efficient and robust quality plan to mitigate defects and improve efficiencies. The role is collaborative and requires ISO 9001 and AS 9100D experience.

**Duties & Responsibilities
**
Achieve company’s high-quality mission by developing and implementing end to end quality procedures and protocols.
Leverage quality equipment and technology to track and mitigate defects.
Implement and maintain the company's quality documentation, such as quality procedures, in process inspection reports and prints etc.
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the products and the environment; through training and work instructions.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop quality inspection plans for current and new products.
Conduct audits with reporting to identify potential failures and preventive actions.
Investigate defect root causes and implement corrective/preventative measures.
Analyze customer warranty returns and implement corrective and preventative plans/actions.
Responsible for organizing and managing the activities of receiving and outgoing quality functions
Continuous improvement planning.
Manage and develop supplier quality compliance and performance protocols and address supplier fallers and corrective actions.
Manage and develop supplier quality protocols.
Prepare and manage of QA reports.

**Position Requirements
**
Strong experience and understanding of ISO 9001 and AS 9100D.
Previous experience in Production Engineering and Quality/Inspection.
Knowledge of SPC and applications, as well as use of measuring equipment and techniques.
Experience with Solidworks and Mastercam preferred.
Strong GD&T knowledge.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently walking and occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds.
Capable of making independent decisions; whilst being appreciative of company/management and existing protocols.

**Education and/or Experience
**
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Three to Five years’ experience in mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education focusing on Machining, Industrial Engineering.
Experience with Process Control, Microsoft Office Suite, E2 erp software, and Automotive Manufacturing.
Experience with Solidworks and Mastercam
