About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team in overseeing the Press Production and Secure Finishing areas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our high-precision print manufacturing environment. As a leader in the Quality Department, you will manage and mentor a team of Quality Supervisors, oversee laboratory operations, and manage customer complaints to ensure the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Press Production and Secure Finishing Quality Oversight
- Lead and manage quality assurance efforts within the Press Production and Secure Finishing areas, ensuring that all production processes align with company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain consistency and adherence to product specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in these areas to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of Quality Supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and safety.
- Develop and deliver training programs to improve team performance and ensure adherence to best practices and new quality standards.
- Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and career development.
- Oversee all laboratory operations, including the sampling, testing, and analysis of materials and products.
- Ensure the laboratory is fully equipped, calibrated, and compliant with all regulatory testing requirements.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee reliable and efficient testing processes.
- Act as the main point of contact for managing and investigating customer complaints related to product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide regular updates and ensure satisfaction with resolutions.
- Lead and conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Initiate and oversee process optimization efforts aimed at reducing defects, enhancing efficiency, and improving product quality.
- Maintain detailed records of audit results, corrective actions, and quality improvements in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that all quality processes meet regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and customer requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage KPIs related to product quality, customer complaints, and continuous improvement efforts.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications or degrees (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in print manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the print manufacturing sector.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers.
- Proficient in quality management systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Attention to Detail: Highly meticulous in ensuring all quality checks meet both company and customer standards.
- Proactive Leadership: Ability to anticipate and address quality challenges before they affect production timelines or customer satisfaction.
