Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist - AS9003 Compliance at RISHAAR LLC

This position can be remote with occasional travel to Colorado. 
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain our Quality Management System in accordance with AS9003 standards. The ideal candidate will ensure our organization's compliance with AS9003 requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in our quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• QMS Development and Implementation:
• Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System that meets AS9003 standards.
• Develop QMS policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• AS9003 Compliance:
• Ensure all quality processes and procedures comply with AS9003 standards.
• Lead internal and external audits related to AS9003, addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Implement improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Training and Development:
• Provide training to employees on QMS processes, procedures, and AS9003 standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure a thorough understanding of quality requirements.
• Quality Assurance:
• Monitor and measure QMS performance through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Implement quality assurance measures to prevent defects and ensure consistent product quality.
• Documentation and Records Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all QMS activities, including audits, corrective actions, and training.
• Ensure proper documentation control and management in accordance with AS9003 requirements.
• Supplier Quality Management:
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their processes and products meet AS9003 standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to maintain quality standards across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing QMS compliant with AS9003 or similar standards.
• Certifications:
• Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
• AS9003 Auditor certification is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of AS9003 standards and quality management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in QMS software and tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.
