Salary:
This position pays an average of $24.50/hour depending on experience.
Description of Role:
SRI Telecom is seeking a Quality Management Specialist to enhance the efficiency of 811 Ticket transmission to third-party locate vendors. You will be responsible for screening and clearing 811 tickets, mitigating risk, and ensuring adherence to construction standards and practices. This role involves virtual screening of tickets to determine which require onsite locating and operating within Cox-defined and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve 811 Tickets by confirming specifications and conducting virtual inspections.
- Perform all work in a virtual setting, including identifying potential problems via photos and reading 811 tickets.
- Approve finished products by conducting virtual inspections and measurement tests; manage re-work as necessary.
- Document inspection results and input data into the quality database.
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying with local, state, and national regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and completing required company training.
- Work with market leaders to address quality standards.
- Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- HS diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field (construction, quality control, etc.).
- AS/AA degree or Technical Certification in a related discipline preferred; specific OTJ experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, report findings, and be self-motivated.
- Knowledge of OSPC processes and required documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Clean driving record and ability to travel to different locations within the system.
- Understands state, city, local 811 ticket standards.
- Experience in utility construction practices and planning; understanding of HFC network architectures; capable of reviewing network documentation (fiber and coax).
