About the Job
- Position Summary
- In partnership with SPD management, the Quality Management Coordinator is accountable for the effective implementation of all quality systems for SPD and strives to enhance patient care outcomes through the development of quality management programs.
- In addition, this position is responsible for the coordination of all instrumentation in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing and assisting in the maintenance and support of the department’s software systems in coordination with IT and software vendors.
- Responsible for collaborating with department managers, sterile processing technicians and other hospital clinicians to assure timely arrival of implants, instrumentation and equipment in good working condition for safe patient care across the organization.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Bachelors degree in health related field preferred.
- License/Certifications: Certified as a sterile processing technician required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a sterile processing technician.
- Strong project management and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Must be able to work independently while exercising strong decision making skills.
