Quality Inspector - Micro Tech

About the Job
The Quality Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections on machined components. Using various handheld and benchtop measurement equipment this position ensures the compliance to both internal and customer dimensional requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Performs In-Process and Final inspection on machined parts (Dimensional & Visual)
- Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other customer and industry specifications
- Understands geometric symbols and tolerances
- Use of standard measurement gages such as calipers, micrometer, drop indicators, etc.
- Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommends corrective actions
- Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems, and assists in identifying and correcting these problems
- Verify raw material lot number traceability
- Maintain well organized work space
- Understand verbal and written instruction
- Flexibility based on changing production/shipment demands
- Execute other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical School is preferred.
- One (1) year of related experience.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, ERP Systems, Document Control and other databases. Able to learn additional programs as needed.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints).
