About the Job
- Perform quality wafer inspections on customer shipments, including that of incoming material, wafers in process or finished goods, and ensure all requirements, both customer and internal, are met, utilizing a wide variety of material characterization processes.
- Provide assistance and training to quality inspectors and production operators.
- Accurately document the results of the inspections and other data for reporting and analysis. Analyze inspection results and evaluate the effectiveness of the inspection process.
- Interfacing with engineers, supervisors, operators and customers to review quality issues, making recommendations for resolving issues.
- Maintain control and calibration system of inspection and measurement equipment.
- Provide wafer evaluation on customer returns and support activities to reduce RMAs that include wafer inspections at various production processes.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of both specific work processes and the quality management system in general.
- Participate in Advanced Materials Environmental, Health and Safety activities
- SAP transactions of work order opening, work order closing, ship confirm and scrap adjustments.
- Proper packaging of shipments to eliminate any shipping damages.
- Accuracy of shipment: part, quantity, dims & weights, shipping address, attention to, all necessary paperwork, etc.,
- Prepare items for shipment and get all the paperwork ready. Bill of landing, Pack slip, commercial invoice, customs papers and carrier tracking.
- Professional communication with our customers and direct all customer enquiries to sales team.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to solve problems pertaining to the shipment of a product.
- Participates in Advanced Materials Environmental, Health and Safety Activities such as waste material storage and pick up.
- Willing to work overtime as per business needs.
- Willing to cover for teammates during PTO or unforeseen circumstances.
- Shipping and receiving internal and external material transfers
- Ability to follow cleanroom protocol
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associate degree or equivalent
- 4+ years' experience in Quality or relevant technology, laboratory or production environment
- Ability to learn and perform new measurement and inspection techniques
- Aptitude to take direction and orders and execute them efficiently, and to perform routine tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi‐task.
- Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems)
Skills
- Ability to contribute to the definition of problems and their resolution.
- Good organizational skills involving abilities to handle a variety of different work and responsibilities at the same time, with attention to minute details.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process procedures
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of or experience with ISO9001 standard.
- Experience with measurement methods and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Capability to quickly respond to unusual events, emergencies and/or accidents
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural, team-based environment
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
