Position Summary
This position is responsible for following defined inspection and test processes in order to determine acceptance of incoming material's and in-process products to the specified quality standards, including the documentation of inspection and test results. This position will interact with the calibration and auditing processes and support the quality system.
Essential Duties and Tasks

- Understand and use quality assurance specifications, standard test procedures, blueprints/drawing and other engineering specifications.
- Perform incoming inspections of materials/components
- Perform in-process quality control inspections and document results of tests/inspections.
- Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming product. Notify first/second shift and management of non-conforming product and write Client's
- Write Client's and add to log sheet
- Report food safety concerns
- Food Safety Maintain a focus on food safety at all times as outlined in our GMP policy under the guidance of SQF requirements.
- Work closely with production and Quality Assurance Manager to make go/no-go quality decisions.
- Maintain quality records as per documented procedures, including test data and retained samples.
- Assist with filling out the quality portion of customer/supplier audits.
- Assemble job books for production
- Assist with special projects.
- Maintain work area per food safety requirements.
- Participate in cross functional improvement teams
- Train quality inspectors and production personnel in "quality.
- Follow all ISO policies and procedures.
- Set-up and use measurement and testing equipment and other assorted quality control equipment in good working condition. Identify equipment that requires repair.
- Create quality inspection plans for products and assist in developmental policies and procedures
- Perform internal inspection/test equipment and other assorted quality control equipment in good working condition. Identify equipment in need of repair.
- Create quality inspection plans for products and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform internal inspection/test equipment calibration per documented procedures and maintain the calibration database.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and production in regard to trouble shooting and problem solving both product and process quality issues on the manufacturing floor.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with special studies and/or projects
- Participate in cross-functional teams in support of process/quality improvement initiatives.
- Training quality inspectors and production personnel in inspection and test processes.
- Comply with all company policies, and all quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures as well as any regulatory or statutory requirements related to this position.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- 5-6 Years' experience in the Quality Assurance Department
- Associate degree or similar and/or High School Diploma
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
- Previous Quality experience is a must.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Manufacturing experience a plus, but not mandatory.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

Work Environment
Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
This role operates in a professional environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
