Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector at Wecom Fiber plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of fiber optic installations, components, and services within the telecommunications and fiber industry. With a focus on quality assurance, inspection methodologies, and adherence to industry standards, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality fiber optic networks and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections of fiber optic installations, components, and equipment to verify compliance with industry standards, technical specifications, and quality control measures.
- Inspect fiber optic cables, connectors, splices, and terminations for accuracy, alignment, and signal integrity, identifying deviations and non-conformities for corrective action.
- Perform quality audits of fiber optic work sites, documentation, and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams, field technicians, and contractors to address quality issues, provide feedback, and implement quality improvement initiatives in fiber optic projects.
- Document inspection results, findings, and corrective actions in quality reports, inspection logs, and quality management systems to track quality metrics and performance trends.
- Utilize quality inspection tools, fiber optic testing equipment, and technical specifications to conduct thorough quality assessments, evaluations, and audits.
- Adhere to quality assurance processes, industry best practices, and quality control protocols to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement in fiber optic installations and services.
- Utilize fiber optic inspection tools, testing equipment, and quality control measures to verify fiber optic installation quality, cable integrity, and compliance with technical standards.
- Interpret fiber optic network designs, installation plans, and technical specifications to assess workmanship, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct fiber optic testing, power measurements, OTDR analysis, and visual inspections to evaluate fiber optic network performance, connectivity, and signal quality.
- Follow quality assurance principles, quality control methodologies, and industry standards in fiber optic inspections to ensure project quality objectives are met.
- Analyze fiber optic inspection data, performance metrics, and quality indicators to identify opportunities for process optimization, adherence to standards, and quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams, project managers, and stakeholders to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in quality assurance, telecommunications, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in the telecommunications and fiber industry, with proficiency in quality inspection processes, fiber optic technologies, and industry standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of fiber optic installations, testing procedures, and quality control measures in a telecommunications environment.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify quality issues, assess compliance, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability to work in dynamic telecommunications environments, collaborate with project teams, and ensure high-quality fiber optic installations.
- Availability for travel and on-site quality inspection work in various locations as required to support telecommunications projects and fiber optic quality assurance activities.
