What to expect:
This is an ongoing Quality Inspector position, part-time with a full-time potential. You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA's operations center based on client needs and each supplier's production schedule.
What you'll do:
You will be conducting visual PCBA inspections and paperwork verification at our client's supplier(s) in the Dallas, TX area.
Detect defects on highly complex products.
Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity-specific standards and classify defect types.
Verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection.
Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.
What you'll need:
5+ years of hands-on inspection experience
Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools and methods
Experience with IPC-610 and PCBA is required. Experience with Cables and harnesses and IPC-620 a plus.
Experience with GD&T, and precision measuring tools a plus.
Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required.
Hourly rate while on site or working remotely (i.e. completing or modifying reports)
Minimum 4 hours per day if deployed (i.e. "4 hour minimum")
50% hourly rate for any travel time (i.e. "p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($0.655 per mile driven). Untaxed.
