PPS is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our semiconductor fab facility team in Chandler, AZ!

Responsibilities:
- Performs mechanical inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
- Conducts inspections on raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts & assemblies.
- Performs First Piece/First Article, Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process, and final inspection.
- Measures complex components, assemblies, and enclosures.
- Generates detailed inspection and nonconformance reports as necessary.
- Checks documents for accuracy and compliance to requirements.
- Reads and interprets information from engineering drawings, travelers, specifications, and other documents to generate a complete and precise inspection report/record.
- Audits Quality Control process/programs to ensure compliance to standards.
- Conducts internal or external inspections (i.e. source inspections).
- Interfaces and provides support to other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality-related issues as necessary.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Attains positive results and communication through team effort.
- Develops inspection techniques and trains Level 1 inspectors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- High School Diploma/equivalent.
- 2-5 years working in a production environment in the same and/or related industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software.
- Intermediate math abilities.
- Ability to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications at a proficient level.
- Intermediate level of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance).
- Ability to operate manual CMM's independently and edit CMM programs.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings/Blueprints.
- Intermediate level for mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards related to machining.
- Basic knowledge of secondary processes such as paint, power coat, plating, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols, callouts, wiring, and/or crimping requirements.
- Ability to calculate flat patterns and inspect precision sheet metal.
- Ability to use handheld tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Some technician coursework/AA degree preferred.
- ASQ (American Standard of Quality) certification preferred.
- Experience working in a clean room environment preferred.
- Previous experience on NPI (New Product Introduction) a plus.
- Able to make suggestions for process development a plus.
