Job Summary
The Quality Inspector I will perform basic inspections and sorting of incoming materials, parts/components. Provide support as needed to the Operations group.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of purchased parts according to well-defined criteria using standard visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements
- Ability to perform visual inspection on large lots size under a microscope.
- Accurately document the results of inspections and testing
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform data entry into associated data systems.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 1 year or less in a manufacturing environment - Medical device experience a plus.
- Ability to use inspection gages and microscopes
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and inspection procedures
- Basic knowledge in math
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision
- Computer literacy required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Knowledge in ISO and GMP. US FDA 21 CFR QSR and ISO 13485 a plus
