About the Job
The Senior Quality Inspector verifies compliance of moderately complex machined product features according to Customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES
Interprets manufacturing drawings, specifications and other customer documentation
Verifies product conformance to Customer requirements & MIC standards
Completes Inspection Data Sheets (IDS) and ERP Router Sequences
Program and operate Zeiss CMM with excellent GD&T understanding
Creates nonconformance reports for product found to be Non-Conforming
Operates within applicable MIC Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Company Policies/Procedures
Performs Incoming Inspections as assigned
Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI's).
Experience working with precision metal components
Performs inspection operations in:
o First Piece Inspection
o Final Inspection
o Receiving QC Inspection
o In-Process Inspection
o First Article Inspection
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required
Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
Job Skill Requirements
- Ability to work in a Team environment or Individually
- Ability to program and operate a CMM
- Has advanced knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to stand 6-8 hours per day
- Excellent Microsoft Office skillset
- Ability to operate inspection, measuring and test equipment including Micro-Hite
- Proper inspection, measuring and test techniques
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Team and communication skills
- Knows basic shop math
Education
High School Education or GED Equivalent
ISO 9001 Training as indicated in the MIC Quality Manual
Experience
Five years in a machine shop environment with experience in product compliance or machining
- Two years CMM programing experience
- Advantage - Keyence Optical System
- Advantage - NDT Level I or Level II experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Ability to operate computer and utilize Microsoft Excell and MIC's ERP program as required
