Job Title: Quality Engineering Intern, Post Market Surveillance
Location: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

What You’ll Do
The individual will assist quality engineers responsible for performing failure analysis of devices to support post-market initiatives.
- Support Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to assess measurement system variation
- Conduct engineering build and testing to verify process outputs
- Perform destructive tensile testing to understand and document failure modes and mechanisms
- Assist with development, maintenance, and improvement procedures for device failure analysis
- Support issue resolution for production and assembly including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking
- Organize and analyze data sets that outline the systemic improvement opportunities
- Currently have or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field (e.g. Bioengineering, Material Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering) & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong understanding of engineering principals
- Strong analytical and statistical knowledge
- Knowledge in data querying and manipulation a plus
- Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with other departments
