Overview:
Are you passionate about driving quality and operational excellence? As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet and exceed customer expectations. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position combines technical expertise, leadership, and a focus on lean methodologies to deliver measurable results. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position combines technical expertise, leadership, and a focus on lean methodologies to deliver measurable results. Responsibilities:
- Champion the Voice of the Customer (VOC) within the facility, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving sessions using tools like A3, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and 8D to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform Gage R&R and measurement system analysis to ensure reliability and repeatability.
- Design and implement auditing systems for internal and external processes to enhance performance.
- Mentor and coach Quality Control Inspectors and Process Auditors, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Conduct audits on products, work instructions, and plant procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Utilize Lean tools, including 5S, to uncover root causes and implement impactful solutions for quality challenges.
- Collaborate on rapid-response solutions for customer concerns, documenting containment, corrective, and preventive measures.
- Use statistical analysis to evaluate process capabilities and validate equipment performance.
- Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of critical quality objectives.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the readiness of quality-related equipment.
- Respond promptly to Andon quality requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Embrace new challenges and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering or a related role.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, 5S, and TPS principles.
- Expertise in quality management systems and Total Quality Management concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in statistical tools for problem-solving and process improvement (SPC, Design of Experiment, Process Capability, Gage R&R).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and statistical software such as Minitab.
- Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
