Job Details
- Lead quality improvement initiatives focusing on manufacturing yield, customer return rates, complaints, and overall quality system efficiency.
- Conduct deviation investigations related to design, production, and suppliers, providing actionable insights and solutions.
- Collaborate in Item Qualification and Commercialization processes, from protocol development to testing and final reporting.
- Ensure effective implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) in alignment with SQF standards.
- Manage daily Quality Lab operations, including calibration, Gage R&R, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Assist with developing PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and support improving outsourced product performance.
- Provide quality audit support for new suppliers and products, fostering relationships across departments and with customers.
- Act as a backup Certified SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner and ensure adherence to all food safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within manufacturing or packaging environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) is preferred, or equivalent experience is required.
- Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Six Sigma/Lean certification or training are a plus.
- Strong experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel and influence the direction of quality-related projects.
