Quality Engineer, Shelbyville, TN
This position is to follow Quality programs and also define and implement Quality tools to improve plant performance.
• Reports to Plant Manager.
Main activities
• Qualification of products (new or changes in them).
• Reviews the customer's specifications and based on these, generates the Internal Specifications
• Develops the physical references of the quality agreements with the customer (standards, color ranges and/or aesthetics)
• Implements the inspections and tests required for the products
• Controls the inventories and disposition of non-conforming products returned by the customer.
• Works in coordination with production and participates in the selection, training and development of employees for the quality area
• Analysis of product defects for the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
• Maintains good safety and organization standards in their work area.
• Other tasks and responsibilities assigned to them. Report conditions that prevent you from doing your job immediately.
• Determining quality improvement factors
• Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products and production equipment
• Making sure processes adhere to quality standards
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
• Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products
• Participate in product and mold design reviews
• Provide quality/technical support and leadership for Lean enterprise functions (SMED, 5S, 6 Sigma, CIP)
• Work with to establish consistent part quality and systems through SPC and DOE studies
Accountability including KPIs
• Meet the established goals.
• Reduce the waste of material due to mishandling, damage or production defects.
• Comply with the internal work regulations and internal rules of the plant.

Profile (Experience & qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree/Professional (Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
• Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in Manufacturing
• 2 to 3 years of experience in the area of Quality Assurance.
• Computer skills Desirable:
• High analytical level to solve complex problems
• Excellent communication
• Knowledge of statistics and Quality tools (SPS, Problem Solving, ISO, Trial & Error, Audit Axis, Green Belt, Personnel Supervision at Technical Levels)
