We are actively searching for a experienced Quality Engineer with the ability and previous experience, to Launch a QMS ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 System. This is a Critical Role and MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE! FLUENT IN SPANISH IS A HUGE PLUS! This is an exciting time, new programs, new product launches and we need a Leader to Drive Internal and External QMS Audits, working with ALL AREAS OF THE MANUFACTURING PLANT and MAKE THIS HAPPEN! This is a Highly Visible Position in a $5b Dollar Automotive Supplier Company! Huge opportunity for Advancement!
The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with customers, leadership staff, shop floor support and sales, crafting solutions for both automotive and consumer products. The role demands innovative thinking, a proactive approach and the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with ISO/QMS systems. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong track record in engineering and leadership, guiding projects from conception to completion. This position may include some travel, providing opportunities to directly engage with clients and stakeholders. Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and Direct the Organization in the Implementation of a QMS ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 System. MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE!
- Must Have Working Knowledge of the QMS ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 System. (IATF Trained Auditor Preferred)
- Knowledgeable with Core Tools: APQP, CP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, etc.
- Work directly with Automotive and Consumer Customers, Leadership Staff, Shop Floor Support and Sales.
- Apply your engineering genius to conduct thorough analyses, ensuring the systems are not just good on paper but are strong, durable, and ready for the manufacturing process. Work with Manufacturing and ALL AREAS of the Plant.
- Setting clear budgets for Project Implementation including Support Staffing.
- Champion our commitment to quality, adhering to the highest standards and procedures that our customers trust.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to Work Directly with Customers in Automotive and Consumer Space. This would include both Internal and External Customers.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, paired with at least 5 years of Quality Engineering experience and a portfolio that showcases your brilliance in QMS Systems.
- A suite of skills in MS Office and other popular design software, ready to tackle any design challenge.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, turning obstacles into opportunities for innovation.
- Stellar communication and presentation skills, able to inspire and inform with ease.
